Excessive VPN Use Slowing Down Pakistan’s Internet IT Minister Shaza Fatima
Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja has clarified that the recent slowdown in internet service across Pakistan is due to the extensive use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
She explained that the surge in VPN usage, prompted by the blocking of certain apps and services, has caused a strain on internet infrastructure, leading to slower speeds.
The government is working to address the issue and improve internet services.
Additionally, a new digitization commission is being established to bolster the economy, and IT exports have seen an upward trend due to recent government initiatives.
