Following the collapse of Sheikh Hasina’s government on August 5th, 626 individuals, including judges, politicians, police officers, and civil servants, sought refuge in military cantonments across the country due to fears for their safety.
According to a statement by the ISPR, the majority of these individuals have since left the cantonments as the situation stabilized. However, seven individuals, including their family members, remain in military protection.
The ISPR also mentioned that four individuals have been handed over to law enforcement based on specific charges.
